How can anyone NOT love this face...! OMG angelic! Even his EAR is amazing..!
How can anyone NOT love this face...! OMG angelic! Even his EAR is amazing..!
I take back completely and utterly what I said about Gareth Gates being the latest star. He was on the radio, on Elaine Paige on Sunday (!) performing live...he was sooooo good that I'll forget all my thoughts of his talent (or lack of..). He sang "close every door to me" and..well, it was better than Donny Osmonds, I have to say..! Additionally he is performing as Joseph in London at the moment, but not for long..I would loved to have seen him, it seems like stage performance and musicals really suit him..!
x
Wow...Jade. Just wow.
Initially I was sceptical about Jade, taking her to be the new singing "phenomenon" who fizzles away in months (Gareth Gates, Will Young etc) and admittedly, the Andrew Lloyd Webber song, "it's my time" isn't the best song ever invented. But coupled together on that stage, tonight...It really blew me away
And I can safely say I am so, so proud to be British!! I really am, I am so proud of what we pulled together and did this year, last year and the year before and the...etc etc, I can remember crossing my fingers and thinking "come on Norway, Poland, Ukraine? Germany...? Ireland......? Please give us points..!" All we usually got were the very very low points, if we got any at all.
Speaking of Ireland, sorry you didn't get in this year but here's hoping for next year!
Yeah, anyway, as I was saying... This year I had much higher expectations, I mean, Jade Ewen did a tour around most of Europe to promote the song and get people interested, and the change in collecting points changed too.
All in all, it was a fair competition and, as Andrew said, it really has brought EUROVISION back to a SONG CONTEST....The winning song definitely deserved to win, there were very few countries who did the "and to our precious neighbours..12 points!" act, which gets tiring.
And to Norway....congratulations! Everyone is in agreement that the song was good and the performance well deserving, those who don't are just bitter. Though I would have liked to win I think it was a well deserved win. And he seemed happy, so :)
And, as Graham picked up on, the standard this year was just so, so much higher than it has been in years. There were no songs I thought "what the heck" with and there was only two that I didn't like very much. One was only because the woman had blatant boob implants which annoyed me a bit and it sounded too slutty for my liking (it wasn't too bad though...) then there was one with a guy that looked like David Hasslehoff..and that was scary, very scary..
He was standing on the higher bit of the stage and doing this weird jumping dance move and his top kept sliding up and...urgh..just no.
But other than that, there was some amazing performances. I just loooooved Malta's perfomance (see below post) and Sweden's (at first I didn't like it until she started the operatic bits then I was like :O woaaaaah!)
Then...Russia's entry was amazing..Personally I think it deserved much more than it got but, honestly I love this, the whole performance is divine..!
Well, I've always had an unexplainable attraction to people with slight cross-eyes, just out of alignment, you know? I'm not even sure why, to this day, since usually it's council house perverts who have cross-eyes, but hey.
Also, buck teeth(teeth that stick out)..I really love them..they make people look vulnerable and cute...so, yeah. I always thought Lucy in Narnia was really cute because of that..much more quirky than stuffy old Susan! Omg I can't believe I still read childrens books! :S
Glasses...oh yeah, glasses are a big turn on for me. Weird, I know but I can't explain it.
Unusual hair...To this day, I still find myself weirdly attracted towards Einstein...Yeah, that's quite weird but hey.Omg and Rik Mayall in Drop Dead Fred!! He wears a bright green suit..and has fluffy red hair..honestly, I melted. He also has cross-eyes....
Comedians seem to do it for me too..Russell Howard (who has slightly crossed eyes and strange teeth, perfect!!!!!!) is sooo cute! And Alan Davies holds a attraction for me..Oh...and the big one, Ade Edmonson as Vyvyan Basterd...I know...It's just soooo wrong, but soooooo right! I'm not sure why, but I think comedians have something painful in their pasts that they want to cover up and hide through comedy, which makes me want to heal their pain in a mothering way.
Or maybe they're just funny, and I like that.
Curly hair.
Enough said...I just like curly hair, okay.
Stand out features are essential. Ninomiya's lips (honestly, they drive me crazy, I even drew them in my Key Skills exam..I looked down and was like "what..?How did that get there?") And the guy who plays Andy Dufresne in the Shawshank Redemption has great lips too..it's like he's constantly amused, or mocking you with his mouth.
Floppy hair. Michael Pitt in Murder By Numbers is a perfect example...You really can't help but be attracted to the geeky murderer!
Or, I can't anyway.
Moustaches are another of my weird fetishes as well..the more gentlemanly, the better. And top hats. Top hats are great.
Dressing much older or much younger than your age. Japanese fashions and traditional clothes like braces and jodhpurs are all attractive.
Dressing your age. Teenagers who dress in slightly hip-hop teenager clothes, or punky, edgy clothes.
On that note, punk is a big YES. I don't mean stereotypical "ooh, i'll put on this pear of tight jeans and voila! I'm punk"..no, I'm talking Johnny Rotten ripped shirts, tight leather jeans, trousers that are waaaaay too short. I even thought John Lydon looked great in the new Country Life Butter advert, what with all the tartan..I was going crazy! Bright in-your-face colours clashing, or mixed with contrast dark colours (like the neon-punky look) Or even the slightly nerdy punk look, which is more boyish, kinda like Mika or someone, but less conformist.
This means...yes bad guys are hot..very very hot. But good guys are too, as long as they are justified. The suck up is just a bad look, okay?
Social outcasts are hot.
Intelligence is also hot.
Abilities/talents are great. But not necessary.
Interesting behaviour characteristics. Like suddenly going "ooomg a rare bird!" or jumpiness or taking clothes off randomly :) :) Sudden changes in voice pattern are good too like talking real slow at one point then faster, and if you can drop in accents and impressions, even better!
Wooooah long post.
Can't think of anything else atm, but I know I will later on so grrrrr..!
There's the sum-up of the perfect "man" for me..I use man loosely because I've always been attracted to guys either younger than me or older..never my generation.. :S
x
Yes, yes I do!
Me and my friend was talking about this...and we think Pj's should come in fashion so we can wear them everywhere..they are so comfy and loose and baggy and warm and pretty and ohhhh I just love them...I think they're the clothing item that suits me the most..which is weird.
I was always the sleepover type person though, any excuse and I'd sleep round other peoples houses...But I don't think people wanted to invite me after a while 'cos every time I'd be like "ooooh! Let's have a make-over!!!! :D :D :D"
That's what you get for having an older sister who has no time to make up your face :'(
And it needs it, I'll tell you that..!
It's getting late and I'm not making much sense...imma go now...

....Ella Fitzgerald's rich, creamy voice..then a blast of L'arc en Ciel and now a dash of Lauryn Hill's gutsy vocals...! Ohhhhhhhh music *gazes at sky*.
Book of Boosh is very very very very very good! BUY IT!
.....yes, well.
I'm really tempted to buy a replica necklace of the one Jun Pyo gives to Jan Di in the recent Korean HYD, it's soooo cute, I love it! (Though a emerald embedded pendant would have been nice too...) Yeah, and they are selling it on ebay for about 15GBP, I'm not sure how many dollars that is, about 20??? And it's free P+P too, so not really expensive at all...here is the ebay extract..
So..I don't know if I should because no one but me will know what it is..but I would feel extra special :) And I have loved HYD for ages..! I was gonna buy the Heart of the Ocean from Titanic, as well...but ahhhh I don't know!! This is literally the only merchandise available to me of HYD other than the manga and drama versions... What do people think I should do...there must be someone to advise me wisely because I'm so reckless with money!
Wooo check it out...Nino is sleeping above my page :) :) :)
Very, very disappointed at the lack of Arashi t-shirts and merch available to the United Kingdom...! We always get left out... :'(
On that note, no one votes for us in the Eurovision song contest...honestly it's so unfair. Regardless of knowing we will get poor scores I always watch 'till the end, you can see every person in the UK edging towards their TV's when the people go to Ireland to collect the scores...in their heads it's like "come on Ireland...you're our last hope!" and they are, they really are...!!! :'( Come on, last year our entry was so colourful!! Pah pah.
I really love when you wash your hair, then put it in plaits/curls, then take it out the next day and your hair smells nicer for longer..fresh.
Those pin curls I did turned out really great..! But now I'm worried if I brush or comb it then it won't be so ringlety..
